St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The flu season is still going strong in Minnesota.

The weekly update on influenza activity by the Minnesota Department of Health continues to rate overall flu activity statewide as widespread.

The report shows there was an upswing in the number of probable outbreaks reported by state schools. That number more than doubled last week to 49, while the number of confirmed outbreaks in long-term care facilities was steady and there was a slight drop in the number of flu-related hospitalizations.
