Who here has heard of the recent trend that involves drinking hydrogen peroxide in order to give you health benefits? That seems pretty stupid, right? I didn’t know this was a thing, but apparently there are numerous websites and YouTube videos raving about how hydrogen peroxide can be used as a home remedy for sinus infections and other ailments. Because if it’s on the Internet, it definitely has to be true!

If only being gullible was the main side effect of doing this. Unfortunately, Minnesota doctors are issuing warnings after six people have been treated for injuries sustained while drinking a concoction of hydrogen peroxide and water up to three times a day. The mixture is bad enough that it can burn holes in your esophagus and stomach, and can even lead to seizures and stroke-like symptoms. There is no scientific evidence to back up any claims that this is good for you. So yeah, don’t be dumb. Stick with drinking things that won't lead to any health risks. Like alcohol and soda!
