Deputy Mott from the Chisago County Sheriff's Department posted an important message to Minnesota drivers on Facebook. The post has been viewed over 650,000 times and has been shared by law enforcement agencies throughout the country.

In the post, which you can read below, Deputy Mott describes being at a cardiac arrest incident. He said he ended up driving the ambulance to the hospital so the medical technicians could continue to work on the patient. During the emergency transport, Mott says he passed more than one hundred vehicles. According to Mott, "Not one complied with our state laws, which in turn caused a several-minute delay in getting the victim to the hospital."

Unfortunately the victim didn't make it. The deputy says that every minute is crucial during emergency transports. Mott writes, "Would she have survived if the transport hadn’t been delayed due to irresponsible motorists? I can’t say for sure, but it’s definitely possible…"

Someday It Might Be You...On Sunday night, I responded to a cardiac arrest incident. I ended up driving the ambulance...
