You're on tour. You're just about to make it to a show in Kansas City.... and BOOM. Things light up.

That's exactly what happened to Minnesota rockers Sleep Signals over the weekend. They explained that transmission issues with their van sparked a fire in the front of the vehicle. The van was eventually totaled.

I'm certainly not thrilled to write this story. These guys have become friends of mine since meeting them at Northern Invasion last year. Thankfully, everyone made it out alive and unhurt - including Rochester native Josh Kulack (The 9th Planet Out) who was filling in on guitar.

The fire destroyed most of their personal belongings, gear, and pretty much everything in it. If you can help these guys out in any way, now is the time to step in. I know how hard they work to create music and shows, and that focus remains despite this incident.

Their current focus is staying on the Tourito Supreme tour with fellow Minnesotans, Cold Kingdom.
