Megadeth At The Myth

In addition to the headliner Megadeth, thrashers Havak got the shred-fest
going with brutally crunching riff-age & power; followed by the equally powerful Children Of Bodem. Suicidal Tendancies (with legendary drummer Dave Lombardo on-board whipped the metal-heads into an absolute frenzy, while the iconic Dave Mustaine & Megadeth gave the SOLD-OUT crowd EXACTLY what they were looking for on this evening. Bone crunching, head-banging thrash metal, fast and furious, with a lightning-fast attack.

I normally shoot a ton of photo's and an occasional video, but not on this night; for my hands and arms were busy bracing myself to hold my spot in the 2nd row at the front of the stage. The all-ages crowd was not unruly, but very aggressive. (There is a difference!) I would eventually try to find a better vantage for photography, but to no avail, as the venue was a "sardine can".

The crowd was the largest I have every seen at The Myth, almost to the point that they could have been close to exceeding fire code limitations in my humble opinion. It was difficult moving around in there, whether fighting your way to a restroom or bellying up to the bar for some refreshments.

In the end, the performances were outstanding, but the venue, over crowded. score: B- (largely because of the over-crowding)

I give myself a grade of 'F' for not capturing any usable photo's that were not blurred or washed-out w/ red light. -'Train Wreck' ~ Z-Rock Weekends \m/\m/
