I stumbled upon this video & cover song the other night and it just floored me! That is the whole premise behind this continuing series, Covers That Don't Suck.

It's Aaron Lewis, formerly of Staind performing a cover of the Layne Staley/Alice In Chains emotional upheaval, 'Nutshell'. Quite frankly, I don't think there are many around who could pull-off this cover. Aaron did, and it's very impressive and an amazing tribute to Layne IMHO!

After watching this I have decided to get Aaron Lewis back on my 'must-see' concert list. I know he was around and played a show in Minneapolis last Feb I think, but I balked back then and didn't buy a ticket to his solo show. I'm not going to let that happen again!

If YOU stumble upon a cover song at You Tube that you'd like to suggest, don't hesitate to hit me up on my BIO-PAGE and I'll consider it as a feature at The Rock Of Rochester on the weekend.

Thank You in advance for watching, and posting your 'take' at the Z-Rock
Facebook Page!

While you're at it, check out this one as well. It's clear to me that Aaron seems to have a special place in his heart for Layne Staley & Alice In Chains.
