Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Going, going, gone. The Kutzky House will soon be gone.

The house was relocated in 2014 to make way for a new apartment complex. Another old home at the site known as the Conley House was demolished after a short legal skirmish. The developer of the apartment project initially agreed not to demolish the Kutzky House and offered to give it away but there were no takers.

Its condition has since deteriorated to the point where the owner says it’s not feasible to save it. Estimated costs to rehab the house into a modern apartment complex shot up from original estimates to over $600,000, making the project too expensive.

The city has issued a demolition permit and work is scheduled to take place Tuesday.
