This is an awesome story. I just read about this from KAAL – a bunch of young patients at Mayo Clinic Saint Mary’s were surprised by a group of superheroes.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a child who has to undergo chemotherapy treatment. Those are some brave kids, which is why moments when they get to experience pure happiness and excitement are all the more special.

It started with a series of noises. Something could be heard from outside the building, and it was coming closer. Suddenly, the faces of the kids in Mayo lit up when they first saw Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk rappelling down the windows. I loved superheroes when I was that age (and, uh, still do at 31), but I’m sure my excitement would have paled in comparison.  That must have been especially cool for the parents to see their kids in that moment.

Apparently, the window cleaners decided to have some fun on this particular day by dressing up in costumes. The end result? They did their job and provided a small distraction that let kids be kids – if only for a moment. What a cool thing to do. Well done, guys.
