The Farmer's Almanac says Minnesota will be a "Hibernation Zone" this winter. They are calling for a brutal winter where it's so cold that you don't want to leave your house. I hope they're wrong with their long-term forecast because it doesn't look like much fun.

One of the worst parts about winter is being stuck inside on nasty days and that's especially true if you have kids. You can beat the winter blues by planning a fun family trip to an indoor water park. Read about four that have amazing reviews below.

There was lots for every age to do and the waterpark is very well run. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back again!

The water park is definitely the best feature at this hotel. First of all the décor in the waterpark is fantastic...stars above and the walls replicating Italy from floor to ceiling. It has slides for every age, a huge hot tub, 4 water basketball hoops, a kiddie pool with slides, a American Ninja Warrior style leap frog water course, a concession stand, small arcade lifeguards on duty and the best part is it’s all included in your stay!

My daughter and I took my grandson there for an overnight stay. We played at the water park and had a great time. All in all, a very nice outing, and we will go back.
