Guitars For Vets

Music has long been known to heal, to help us deal, to really do lots of great things. Personally I don't know where I'd be without music, I just love it, as I am sure you do too.   This is a pretty awesome program that got started in 2007.  Three years later, the Minnesota chapter was added.

Guitars for Vets is a non-profit organization that begin in Milwaukee.   There are over 30 chapters in 15 states, including Minnesota.  A guitar instruction program they offer has been aimed at providing Veterans struggling with PTSD and other emotional distress a therapeutic alternative.  They provide free guitar instruction, a new acoustic guitar and an accessory kit, as well as a structured program run by volunteers.  G4V, (Guitars For Vets,) have offered over 12,000 guitar lessons and provided over 2,000 guitars to Veterans.
