It was the fall of 1997 when I set it up for the very first time: the original Sony Playstation, a.k.a. the Playstation One. As a 12-year-old kid, the graphics at the time were mind-boggling. So many fun memories. So much time on the couch. Definitely no time wasted whatsoever!

So I was pretty stoked to discover that much like the popular Nintendo Classic or Super Nintendo Classic, the Playstation Classic is set to hit shelves this December - just in time for your holiday shopping. It's 45% smaller than the original Playstation and connects to your TV with an HDMI cable. The major difference is that it won't have an actual disc drive, but it will come pre-loaded with 20 classic titles. Awesome.

As for the price, the Playstation Classic will cost you $99, which is a freakin' steal compared to how much a Sony Playstation and 20 games would have cost you back in 1997. Sony said that they'll be announcing info about pre-orders soon, and they expect to have a hefty supply of consoles available. Happy Holidays!
