Give To The Max Day is Today in Minnesota

If you're in a giving mood, today is the day to donate to your favorite cause here in Minensota!

Give To The Max Day is a statewide effort that helps literally thousands of organizations across Minnesota raise needed funds. It's put on by GiveMN, an "independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an affiliate of Minnesota Philanthropy Partners," according to its website, GiveMN.org. It was founded in 2009 by the Minnesota Community Foundation.

But what does it do? Well, it allows you to find a cause you support-- there are literally thousands to choose from-- and donate easily, online. In some cases today (depending on the group), there's even a dollar-for-dollar match component involved, where your contribution can be doubled with additional funding!

My wife and I volunteer at Paws and Claws Humane Society here in Rochester, and so we'll be making a donation to PCHS today, in honor of Give To The Max Day. (You can donate to help Paws and Claws care for and find homes for homeless animals HERE.)
