The Olmsted County Fairgrounds was the place to be on Saturday if you are a car enthusiast.

The local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans organization staged another successful car, truck, motorcycle and golf cart show that featured several hundred classic, restored, customized and rare examples of the motorized vehicles. The owners of the rolling works of art and hundreds of visitors roamed the fairgrounds parking lot and spent hours viewing and talking about the machines on hand for the event.

It was the fifth straight year Minnesota DAV Chapter 28 has organized the show to raise money used for programs and assistance benefiting disabled military veterans in the region. It was promised there will be a sixth annual show, which means car, truck, motorcycle and even golf cart lovers should block off the first Saturday of next August and make plans to bring their "ride," or simply visit the "free and open to the public" event to take in the sights and sounds, participate in a silent auction and enjoy some great food.
