National Weather Service has included Rice, Steele, Le Sueur, Scott, and Dakota counties in a winter weather advisory. Freezing rain is expected to bring .1 to .2 inches of new ice by Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, "Light freezing rain will develop late this evening and continue for much of the night before mixing with sleet and snow Monday morning. One-tenth of an inch of ice and less than an inch of snow are expected."

The National Weather Service in their forecast states that the freezing rain is expected to fall much of the night before changing to snow Monday morning. But before we see any freezing drizzle tonight we are dealing with dense fog that is limiting visibilities to less than a 1/4 of a mile in some places. The fog is expected to hang around for most of the day Sunday.
