Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters said they would bring a rock concert to Pine Tree Square plaza in Niles, OH and they did just that on Saturday.

How cool is that? For 150 fans on Record Store Day 2015 , very cool !The Record Connection in Niles, Ohio was the place to be Saturday afternoon. (How come this stuff never happens to us, huh?)

The FooFighters were going to play somewhere else but then someone asked the
Warren-native Dave Grohl, "Why don't you play where you born?" The show was part of Record Store Day. Grohl is this year's ambassador for the event that honors independent record stores and audiophiles. The concert was set as a celebration of National Record Store Day.

Of course, anyone who has seen Foo Fighters knows the band routinely gives it their all, whether in front of 150 people or 100,000.

The band closed things out with a performance of 'Everlong'. Grohl mumbled something along the lines of "This is probably the last time you'll see us like this," referring to the intimacy of the show. That's probably true, but what a moment for those who were there. Again, this kind of stuff never happens to us, right?

Since Grohl was in the neighborhood, he would then be opening the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Show down the road in Cleveland with one of this year's inductee's, Joan Jett. Grohl joined Tommy James (of the Shondells) with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on 'Crimson and Clover', with Miley Cyrus singing backing vocals.
