St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Overall flu activity in Minnesota remains low, but the state health department is reporting a modest uptick in the number of probable outbreaks reported by Minnesota schools. There were seven last week.

The Department of Health also received two reports of confirmed influenza outbreaks in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. The number of flu-related hospitalizations in Minnesota was comparable to the previous week at 11 and for a third straight week the health department is rating overall flu activity as “local.”
