Flood Run This Weekend
Undated (KROC AM News) - The 50th annual Spring Flood Run takes place this weekend in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Thousands of motorcyclists are expected to cruise on both sides of the Mississippi River Saturday and Sunday.On the Minnesota side, most of the riders will cruise between the Twin Cities and Winona.
The Flood Run has been a charity event since twelve bikers from the Twin Cities rode to Winona to help the city in its fight against the historic flooding of the Mississippi River in 1965.
Money raised by the official sponsors is donated to Gillette Children's Hospital in St.Paul.
The bikers will face the threat of wet and cool weather on Sunday.
