Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A plea agreement was reached today with the man accused of shooting another man during a home invasion almost two years ago.

39-year-old Vondale Kincaide had just been released from the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility in July 2015 when he connected with three brothers and they came up with a plan to rob a Rochester man who had a marijuana growing operation in his home near Gage Elementary School in northwest Rochester. Following his arrest, Kincaide told investigators he shot the victim in the knee to “calm him down,” before he left with two jars filled with marijuana.

Kincaide went before an Olmsted County judge today and entered a guilty plea to a first degree assault charge. In exchange, four other charges were dismissed.

Two of the brothers, 25-year-old Antonyo White and 29-year-old Walter Abrams pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated robbery charges. White was sentenced to 93 months in prison and Abrams was given a 75 month sentence. The third brother, 33-year-old Dion Abrams, was convicted by an Olmsted County jury on charges stemming from the robbery and was given a 16-year prison term.

The sentencing hearing for Kincaide has yet to be scheduled
