Family Guy is Just Not Funny

I know there are a lot of fans of Family Guy, but I'm not one of them. I hear a lot about how Family Guy is a great show and it's hilarious, but I just don't see it.

Over the last couple of years, I've tried watching the show a hundred times or so and every time, I end up turning the channel. Maybe it's my sense of humor. I do have one but I just don't find that show funny at all. Even tonight, when I got home, it was on. So I thought, "Okay. I'll give it one more chance." Yeah. It's about what I expected. Every episode seems to do the same thing over and over again. There's some sort of stupid flashback, followed by some racist or religious "joke" then another "joke" making fun of an actor or actress, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah. I've just described every episode of Family Guy.

I want to like it because I think Seth McFarlene is extremely talented and hilarious, but I think the show and its writers try way too hard to be funny and controversial. So I gotta ask:
