Dark Tranquillity Announce 2017 North American Tour

Do you love melodic death metal? How about thrash and good old traditional heavy metal? If you're a fan of all three then this tour is for you as Sweden's reigning melodeath masters Dark Tranquillity are teaming up with new age American thrash titans Warbringer and Canadian metal purists Striker for a month-long North American trek.

Dark Tranquillity are riding high on the release of last year's well-received Atoma and will launch their headlining tour from Margate, Fla. on Sept. 6. It's onward and upward from there without a single night off until Sept. 27, marking a grueling 21 consecutive shows on this jaunt. The routing dots the East Coast before heading north into Canada, traveling westward and ultimately reaching the Pacific coast. The tour will conclude with three performances in Texas with the final stop hitting Dallas on Oct. 6.

Both Warbringer and Striker are touting new albums (both of which streamed in advance of the release date here at Loudwire). Woe to the Vanquished is the latest from Warbringer and possibly their finest moment yet, while Striker recently released their self-titled album and fifth studio effort in all.
