If you have driven north on Highway 52, you would have noticed that there has been plenty of construction near Zumbrota, Cannon Falls and Coats. Well construction will continues between Cannon Falls and Coats.

According to MNDot, beginning Sept. 7, there will be a closure of the "J" turn that allows you to access Hwy 52 south from County Road 66. There will be a detour in place to help you navigate through that.

During the time that construction continues, there will still be lane closures in both directions of Hwy 52 as crews continue to make changes and add a reduced conflict intersection and cable median barrier. All businesses will remain open.

Make sure you plan ahead for traffic if you are headed toward the Twin Cities for any reason, including the Vikings game on Monday Night.

Nobody likes construction, but it seems like we will have to deal with it until winter comes. Then, we deal with snow. Have to love Minnesota! In all seriousness, plan ahead for traffic!
