He'll be in the Twin Cities for a five-day stretch of shows!

Easily one of my favorite comedians, Dave Chappelle will be performing at Icehouse MPLS for five straight nights — Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28.

Admission for the shows went on sale TODAY, and are $100 for general seating at the 300-seat venue. The tickets can be found at Ticketmaster.com.

Those familiar with Chappelle know how unpredictable his comedy can be, and for that he was rewarded a sketch comedy show on Comedy Central that ran for several years. I tuned in for it every week when I was in college... it was easily the highlight of my week most weeks!

But after having massive success, Chapelle then mysteriously walked away from it all and dropped out of the public eye, performing pop-up standup shows and the occasional television appearance.

He did return to TV this past March with two hilarious Netflix specials: "The Art of Spin," and "Deep in the Heart of Texas," both of which I loved!

But please keep this in mind if you plan on attending these shows: Just be aware there's a strict “no cell phones allowed,” rule. Anyone caught with a cell phone inside will be asked to leave the venue.

Other than that, it's guaranteed to be another great show!
