Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - It appears some sort of domestic dispute led to today’s crash that shut down a busy stretch of Highway 52 in Rochester for several hours.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a man and woman inside a car were apparently involved in a dispute while heading north on the highway near Apache Mall when the vehicle swerved and sideswiped a semi-truck in adjoining lane. The collision caused the driver of the truck to lose control and flip over, blocking three lanes of traffic for about three hours.

The State Patrol report indicates the man and woman in the car fled on foot before authorities arrived at the scene and are still being sought.

The driver of the truck was a 27-year-old man from Maryland. The State Patrol says he was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the crash, which occurred just north of Apache Mall around 12 noon.
