Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police arrested a man Monday for assaulting a woman, leaving her with a broken hip.

The 43-year-old woman called 911 around 630 AM to report she was on the floor at her home and could not move because of the pain. The woman told officers 45-year-old Terry Hart had been living with her for a few months and she suspected he had recently started stealing items from her home. The woman said she was getting ready to give Hart a ride to work when she saw him with a box. She was suspicious and looked into the box and saw several of her collector coins.

The woman said Hart "went nuts" and threw her against a wall. She says he then threw her hard onto the floor and she thought she had suffered a broken leg. She was taken to St Marys Hospital where it was determined she had actually sustained a broken hip and had to undergo surgery.

Hart was later located and arrested on 3rd degree and domestic assault charges.
