Behold! 'Beast Mode Sausage'...

Sausage infused with Skittles.  A Washington meat store, Blue Max Meats made some very special sausage.  Taste the hot and spicy rainbow and look at photos of the painstaking process these devoted fans showed their team.  Speaking as someone who used to live in Green Bay, and knowing they do some pretty incredible things to show their love of their team, I can't say that they've ever topped this to my knowledge.

Jeff, maybe you're not so weird afterall.   Ha!  I say this because Jeff is a huge Packer fan. Jeff does however, have a mini Packer museum on the ZROCK wall.  Mini.  I even bought him a tiny little banner one year to hang up so he could feel at home in the studio.  Maybe next year I can make him some green sausage.  Yum, yum yum!  Kidding, Jeff, I have no idea how to make sausage, and the video below showing these guys doing it grosses me out just a little bit.  Back to the rainbow of meat links...

Evan Greco and Tommy Marshall, the owners of Blue Max Meats in Puyallup, Washington, said the Beast Mode Hot Skittles Sausage is a tribute to Marshawn Lynch, running back for the Seahawks, who is known to chow down on Skittles on the sidelines during games.

Blue Max Meats, the makers of this colorful and zesty limited time only treat, posted the photos of the process on their Facebook page and also appeared in a local Washington news cast showing how they mixed the skittles into the sausage.  The photos [below] depict a very excited sausage maker as he prepares his interesting recipe. Some gross stuff too.  The local news report with a short little sausage making play by play is included after the photos.  Enjoy the video, or don't, but I apologize for not being able to share the actual sausage through the computer, that will have to be left to your imagination. I would bet they would ship some if you asked them.  I'm not a huge sausage connoisseur, so I would have no idea how something like this would taste.  Many people commented online that it is very very spicy, and sweet.   They of course, have their 'secret' part of the recipe, still a secret, with a kick, and the skittles, well, I am familiar with the taste of those.

Check out This gentleman, featured above, an eager sausage fan, obviously, who was posted to the meat company's Facebook page.  He even lives close to us in Iowa.

He made a T-shirt it looks like.   An Eager Beast Mode Sausage fan.  That's pretty stellar.

Watch the video of the local news broadcast below.

Would you eat it?
