Albert Lea Band Opened for Psychostick and It Was Awesome

Don't believe me? There is video evidence after all.

I mentioned that at last weekend's Psychostick show at the Wicked Moose, a few local bands were opening up. It was awesome!

While these guys certainly weren't the only SE Minnesota band rocking the stage, I've seen them previously (hed PE back in December) and liked what I heard! So, I'd like to focus on them for Minnesota Brutal this week.

Meet Exomen, if you don't know them already...

That's a little peek at what you missed in case you weren't there.

They are just getting rolling in the metal world. In fact, they describe their sound as progressive metal, but you'll hear some trash too. Influences include: Between the Buried and Me, Dream Theater, Tesseract, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Mastodon, Opeth, Texas in July, The Black Dahlia Murder - and, my friends, if this is the future of where metal is headed... we're going to like it!

Exomen is: Chris Jepson (Guitarist), Travis Mckleroy (Guitarist), Cody Hoenisch (Drums), Micah Strobel (Bass) and Tom Nouchka (Vocals).

Currently, they are hard at work on their first album. Keep a look out! It will be worth it.
